Gloria Liu is from the King of Prussia suburbs outside of Philadelphia, PA. She attended Council Rock North High School and graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 2014. Before starting law school, she obtained her CPA and worked as a corporate accountant at The Vanguard Group, Inc. in Malvern, PA for about a year. Gloria began law school at Duke University in 2015. During her time in law school she worked as a judicial intern with The Honorable Judge Genine Edwards of King’s County Supreme Court in Brooklyn, New York, as a summer associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath in Philadelphia, PA, and as an Enforcement Division intern at the SEC in Washington, DC. She will be returning to Drinker Biddle & Reath as a full-time incoming first-year associate in the fall of 2018.

Frances Han has lived in Upper Dublin with her family since 2001, and has three children who attend Upper Dublin schools. She is Senior Counsel of The Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, PA, where she is a member of the Global Derivatives and Separately Managed Accounts Practice Group in the Office of the General Counsel. Prior to joining Vanguard, Frances was in corporate practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Philadelphia and at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York. She received her JD from The University of Pennsylvania Law School and her AB from Princeton University where she studied in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Robert Kim is currently serving as a UD School Board Member. He and his wife Wonmin have resided in Upper Dublin since 2005. Together, they have three children in the District. Robert served on the Strategic Planning Committee and coaches several sports teams in Upper Dublin. He holds degrees from the University of California at Irvine (B.A. in Sociology 1996), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity, e1999), Fuller Theological Seminary (Master of Theology in Intercultural Studies, 2007), and Reformed Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry, 2017). Robert has served as lead pastor of Gracepoint Church since 2006.

Michael Yoon has lived in Upper Dublin township with his wife and three kids since 2005. He received his BS from Brown University and his MD from the University of Virginia. He trained in neurosurgery at Temple University Hospital and has been on staff at Abington Hospital since 2000.

Richard Zhang is a sophomore Computer Science and Statistics double major at the University of California Berkeley. Richard grew up in Lansdale and graduated from Upper Dublin in 2016. He has a specific interest in the application of data science and computational techniques to solving healthcare problems. He is also minoring in philosophy and enjoys thinking about social issues. In his free time, he enjoys playing trading card games and tennis (recreationally). Richard feels that after numerous stumbles across high school and his college experience so far, he comes armed with what he has learned and hopes to pass on some of that wisdom!

Peter Hu, a 2016 graduate of Upper Dublin High School and current physics and astronomy major at the University of Pittsburgh, loves drawing, making/playing/writing music, and creating stories and worlds. Having spent two years so far recovering from an exhausting high school experience, he is more than happy to offer wisdom, advice, mistakes, support, and/or commiseration where necessary. With strong ideals about teaching, state- and College Board-mandated assessment, and the high stakes and few rewards of the college application process—as well as a fervent passion for helping people understand things—Peter is currently exploring the educational field, gathering critiques and ideas for how to make it less insufferable.
