Through a joint fundraising campaign, the UDCA, Guanghua Chinese Association, and Central Bucks Chinese American Association purchased over fifteen thousand Level 2 surgical masks through a U.S. distributor of personal protective equipment (PPE) manufactured in China. Additional donations were made by students and our friends in China through “People to People” projects led by individual UDCA students and families. So far, our UDCA student leaders have delivered several thousand masks to a number of recipients including retirement homes, medical center staff, and emergency medical responders.
